advice for school leaders and governors

faced with preparing for a hearing, 

but we also offer services to schools

who would value an external investigation

into a disciplinary matter (for example, 

to enable a senior leader to hear the case, 

or to demonstrate impartiality) or who

would like to entrust to us the 

time-consuming but critically-important 

compilation of the bundle of evidence

to be pre-circulated for a hearing. 

We understand that the pressure of time

or workload can be acute for school leaders

dealing with multiple priorities; when a 

disciplinary investigation or hearing becomes

necessary, it brings with it a stringent set

of deadlines and priorities of its own 

which are seldom convenient to meet.

At these moments it can become

advantageous to be able to 

draw upon external support, and in these

matters we can offer a particular expertise.

We offer an external investigation service

with independent note-taker at £30.00 

per person per hour (average cost £150.00 

per investigation meeting allowing for 

one hour's preparation, one hour each in the

meeting, and one hour each writing it up) 

and a pack-compilation service at £40.00

per hour if the school administrative facilities

can be used, or £60.00 per hour otherwise.

Should you require our investigator to 

attend a hearing as a witness, 

we are pleased to support our clients 

in this manner free of charge.
